About the Artist: Gary Steinley lives and has a studio in Spearfish, SD. Although he has an undergraduate major in art, he actually came into it late. Gary started painting in his mid-fifties, instigated by a workshop from Charles Sovak. Four years later, after more than three decades of teaching, English and education courses were put aside and he moved into full time painting.
