Coinciding with the exhibition When Trees Dream, we invite you to view the oldest trees on campus, native species and unusual specimens alongside University Horticulturist, Tanner Aiken. This will be a walking tour of no more than one mile.

After the tree tour, Curator of Education, Abigail Ramsbottom will facilitate a viewing of the recently opened exhibition,  When Trees Dream, providing arts engagement through Visual Thinking Strategies, a conversation-based exploration of the works on display.  

Updates will be communicated to you via your preferred contact method regarding weather or unforeseen events.  

Note: This event will last two hours; plan to spend a majority of that time standing. We will walk no more than 1 mile around the university campus. The museum will be happy to provide any accommodations needed for you to participate in this event; please contact us beforehand and we will prepare accordingly. Remember this event will take place both outdoors and in the galleries; consider wearing weather appropriate clothing while also noting the galleries can be chilly.  

This is a free event on September 1, 2022 from 3 - 5 pm. Meet at the South Dakota Art Museum.
