About the Artist: Meghan Peterson is a self-taught South Dakota artist who creates calming, representational oil paintings inspired by the region’s landscapes, flowers, and prairie spaces. Her work has been featured in South Dakota Magazine and Oakwood Literary and Art Magazine and is held in collections nationwide. She lives in Brookings, SD, where she balances her role as an academic advisor at SDSU with her studio time—often shared with her notoriously troublesome cats, Teddy and Eddie.
