About Dick Termes: Artist-educator Dick Termes, a lifelong South Dakotan, revolutionized contemporary art with his innovative Termespheres—painted spheres using a six-point perspective developed over a career spanning more than fifty years. Born in 1941 and educated at Black Hills State University, the University of Wyoming, and the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, Termes ultimately returned to his family ranch near Spearfish, where he continued creating art and teaching. His work and life are explored in this first intellectual biography, featuring an introduction by art critic Bill Fleming and photographs by Bonny Fleming that capture the unique visual power of the Termespheres.
